荒川低地中部（富士見市〜戸田市間）における上部完新統について

要　旨　大きな土木工事で出来た露頭調査により，荒川低地中部の上部完新統の詳細な層序が確立できた．本地域の上部完新統は，沖積層下部層と沖積層上部層の2部層に大区分できる．沖積層下部層はA層とB層に，沖積層上部層はT層・U層・V層に細分でき，これらの各層は不整合関係であると考えられる．
　露頭調査によって発見・採取できた土器より，沖積層上部層V層は中世（15〜16世紀）以降の堆積層と考えられる．
　また，沖積層上部層T層中の大型植物化石はブナ・アカガシ亜属とコナラ亜属の殻斗が多く，沖積層上部層V層中からはトチノキの果実とコナラ亜属の殻斗が多く産出している．また共通してヒシの実が産出している．

Upper Holocene series on the Middle Region of the Arakawa Lowland

Abstract
　　　The areas we investigated are located in Fujimi city and Toda city along the Arakawa Lowland.
　　　By examining the outcrops which happened to appear during the construction works, we knew the detailed geological stratigraphy in these areas. Upper Holocene layers in these areas are roughly divided into two parts ; “Chusekisou Lower” and “Chusekisou Upper”.
　　　“Chusekisou Lower”is divided into A and B layers.“Chusekisou Upper”is also divided into T , U and V layers. What is outstandinng in the featurs of each Holocene layer is the unconforminity.
　　　Plant fossils and erthenwares which were derived in these areas are also mentioned here.
