Abstract Pleistocene Elephant fossil bones described here are composed of fifty-eight pieces which belong to Stegodon aurorae (MATSUMOTO). These materials were collected from the upper part of Bushi Formation, exposed at the foot of a river-side cliff of Iruma River at Sasai, Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, Central Japan.
They are the materials of the same individual, and their main components are several vertebrae, some ribs and some limb bones.
